Company expanding distribution center to include a dry grocery warehouse

Raleigh, N.C. — Publix announced that it’s expanding its footprint in the Triad, adding 1.2 million square feet of space to its distribution center which will now include a dry grocery warehouse.

Senate Leader Phil Berger (R-Rockingham), whose district includes the Publix distribution center, said, “Publix is widely recognized as a great employer and wonderful place to work. It’s great to see them expand their footprint in the Triad, and it’s a testament to our quality workforce.”

More from Publix:

“The entire distribution center is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2022, three years ahead of schedule. Together, the refrigerated and dry grocery warehouses will support Publix’s growth in the Carolinas and Virginia with more efficient deliveries of products.”
